Without a doubt...
Check Krinjah
Debasser
General Malice
Illicit
Dj K
Sixteenarmedjack
These guys are from the US and Canada. They have their own take on the old skool
sound.. For me I'm allways thinking it should have more emphasis on bassline and this stuff is about drums.. er well the amen break and also it can get a bit breakcore which to me has no riddim and loses its urban vibe..Saying that there is some serious production and blazing tune about ...

check it owwwtt!

Mutt is totally wicked! Breakage is the king of the newschool with the oldschool sound. He rinses out in all the best nights in London, all over the world, and has got his album out on Bassbin. Equinox is off the hook. He has loads of tunes out too. Use the search bar in Chemical Records' website to find all their releases. They play a lot of older tunes too, seeing as there is a shortage of heavy new amen tracks out.
Download a mix off my new thread to see what I mean.

PARADOX, NUCLEUS, SEBA, BREAKAGE, EQUINOX, MACC, SENSES, SURVIVAL, PIETER K, NOLIGE, BETA 2, FANU, CHRIS INPERSPECTIVE, DUB-ONE, FRACTURE & NEPTUNE, SUM-ONE, THEORY
Those above are the people in my opinion that are carrying the original jungle feel with all the good breaks and sounds whilst still being new school. They are also recognised names in the scene and regularly headline events around the world, and feature in Knowledge magazine etc. Paradox is especially responsible for making sure the real jungle vibe never dies. He has released literally hundreds of amen style tunes since 1993 and continues to now. The above people tend to release high quality new jungle with a serious feel to it.
If you want the novelty ragga sound, then the American producers Gritty mentioned are the ones to go for. Proper novel ragga sound, practically identical to old ragga jungle. Gritty uploaded me a mix he did of American ragga jungle and it was pretty good, I'm sure he'll give you the link.
But then you did want newschool with old school elements so I'm not sure the old ragga sound copy is relevent to your request.
Of course, the above is just my opinion but I've been into the scene since the beginning too mate so I hope you value my input.
Then again, so has Gritty so I guess you'll have to check out BOTH of our recommendations. Everyone's a winner! lol

I think basically it comes down to wether you love ragga/reggae jungle.. I'm a lover of all styles ..
The original concept is more like what OJ is talking about..
If you think of early kemet/ibiza/armshouse/or congo natty you will notice it has strong elements of ragga but not exclusively..It contains a lot of samples from films/dark atmospherics. hiphop, rare groove, house and techno elements..This is the original sound of jungle...It has a strong
rave feel and actually would be seen as d&b if people were true to there judgements of later music which is a little strange eh??
What people call ragga jungle which is a made up name created for the souldestroying purpus of marketing and segregation is something that started to become more prevalent in 93 reaching its hight of commercialism in 95..
In my opinion this form of jungle got unfairly rinsed..I say unfairly because it is seen as less when for me it is more.. That is why I could neva see it as a novelty sound..Just think of tune like red remix or simple tings, countless others..Im not talking about production values I'm talking about awareness of riddim..effortless style.
(I dont see how sampling terminator 2 is more creative than sampling buju ,its a sample end of story). Its what you do with a sample.
The denial and lies that surround this music still affect it today..

Yup! lol
For real, the obsession with "ragga jungle" can often be a little twisted. Correct about the sound becoming commercialised after a while. It wasn't even called "ragga jungle" in those days if I remember correctly, just "jungle". The first time I heard the term "ragga jungle" was when I picked up a cheesy mix CD called "Ultimate Ragga Jungle" in Sam Goody several years later...
That stuff by Paradox, Dub-One etc is pretty serious if you like that sort of thing, and it often contains some ragga elements without overdoing it. Check Dub-One's tune "Gwarn Amen" here to see what I mean.
If you want a more good time vibe or wotnot then the more bouncy themed stuff by ShyFX/Benny Page may be more up your street.
A lot of US ragga jungle is a little too regurgitated in my book, but there is an interesting new take on jungle from the guys that have been mentioned in the above posts. That General Malice dude is pushing a hiphop element fused with hectic amens, Sixteen Armed Jack has a good take but needs to work alongside the rest of the good guys, he's got real potential but uses the slogan "we take it over" on his myspace page. Oi! lol.
My favourite jungle producer from over the Pacific has to be Sum-One at the moment, his drum edits are unreal! Listen to The Hidden Sound's mix in my new school thread to hear it. Sum-One is about to blow up very soon...
Unfortunately with the scene these days there is so much shite about and comparitively little in the way of decent jungle, I guess it just takes a deeper look. Don't lose faith in the UK mans though, still knockin out real jungle for true headz if you know where to look...ie in my new school thread for starters..

It's wild watching a local from fucking Indianapolis get the kind of reputation he has. They don't call this place naptown for nothing.
