I put this mix together for a dj friend of mine who spins mainly breaks/electro/funk. All the tracks are off Cookin eps and the first LP "SoulFood," as well as tracks from Earth vol. 5 & 7. For those not familiar these are all sidelabels of Good Looking. A majority of the tracks are made by DnB producers such as: Big Bud, Makoto, Intense, K- Scope, Blu Mar Ten, Blame, Intersperse...etc. Many of the tracks are made with a mix of live and electronic instruments. Elements of jazz, funk are usually complimented by ambient sounscapes similar to the intelligent dnb tracks off of the parent label, Good Looking/ Looking Good records. Some tracks off the labels are slow others fast. occasionally you get some broken beat, lounge and even house. I fell in Love with the Earth Compilations when they first started coming out in 96'. Cookin came about in 99'. Sadly I guess LTJ put an end to these labels. The last cookin ep came out around 04.' Man I wish there were still releases comin out on these side labels.. Anyways I hope you all dig the mix.

I'm some what new to uploading mixes. I have made CD'S / mixtapes for years, but like I said I'm new to this. I record the mix through a stand alone Cd Burner. From there I put it on the computer and this where shit goes wrong. I actually have it as an mp3 through I-tunes which is where I first imported it. When I took that file and and tried to upload it through dnbshare it wouldn't take. I' think it may have been to large. A friend of mine said I had to change the quality to 128 but I forgot how to do that. Thats why I go to my failsafe wma........I'm blind here! If someone can tell me the best way the transfer my mixes ( i.e. I-tunes) I would greatly appreciate it. I have abunch more I just did, but it sucks if too many people can't here it. Please let me know thanks.

i really doubt it's too big for dnbshare as an mp3. you don't want to change the quality to 128 cuz that would sound like stale poop. i'd keep it at 192 minimum, ideally 256 or 320. when you record it to your cd burner is it recorded as an audio cd or data cd, meaning when you click on the file on the cd and go to file properties, what does the file extension show up as? if it's cda, it's an audio cd and you need to rip it into some audio format. i use dbpoweramp, great for all kinds of conversions. i can get you a ripped copy or the legit copy is something like $30 i believe. or there are other ripping progs, some of which are free.

Thanks Tykal, they are CDA's I believe. Do you know how that affects the whole uploading thing. I am able to convert it to mp3 using I-tunes. I just had a problem uploading it to dnbshare for some reason. I wonder if it would be better to use sendspace instead. Any which way I'm sure you can tell I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to computers. I am just looking for a smooth free way of sharing mixes.

just below where you would click 'Rip' to get the files off the cd, theres a little arrow, click that, then it gives you options, click 'format', there you can chose between mp3, wma, lossles etc.
plus options for bit rate. id rip it at 320.
