Oh man... I've wanted to hear this for so long. I figured that nobody would have this. What a treat to hear the tearout oldskool mixed surgical Dieselboy style. No Dungeons & Dragons goin' on here! haha

Thumbzo - that's like grabbing CODA to see what Led Zeppelin is all about! Try Supreme '95 or Future Sound Of Hardcore for Dieselboy

That's funny you mention Coda in that sense. I rememeber when I was about 13 or I heard Kashmir for the 1st time and I went to the library to see if I could find that song on one of the tapes they had. That was the only tape of Led they had and I wasn't too impressed. I now have every album they put out and I kept putting off getting that one. Well I finally grabbed it up a few months back and I think it's one of my favorites. I don't understand why I didn't like it back then, but then again I guess I do. I love the steel drums on Bonzo's.

BTW-Dieselboy is no hype. I really didn't like the Dungeon mix that much either although I loved the intro tune. Eitherway, he really is a surgeon on the decks. I read in a magazine back in 98 he tied w/ LTJ Bukem for DJ of the year so he is obviously recognized. Check any other of his CD releases. they are all worth buying. Shit, i paid for Soldiers Story on 3 separate occasions.

I totally forgot Witness The Strength... get that first and Supreme second. FSOH 3rd.

He's basically got perfect mixing skills. Soldier's Story was after the turning point for me though - not into that kind of DnB

Oh yeah... CODA is a cool album, but I wouldn't use it to define Zep by any means!

yeah for sure-Just alternate takes and B-sides

I would recommend Led Zeppelin 1 or the new DVD that came out a year or 2 ago. Wonderful performances.

You just made my year complete.

Thanks so much for this... from those opening piano chords on that Adam F "Burning Deep" to the bitter end, it's just nonstop awesome. So many years of rocking this in the tape deck on my '85 VW Golf as I drove all around the midwest, trunk and backseat full of Massive shirts and mixtapes to sling, or a flight case filled with nastiness, and it was all worth it.

Thank you.

I can only imagine what the excitement level was in the Golden Era, when everyone was pushing the limits of those samples. So much great music was born then!
