no garage here... back to business! i'd love to check out your crates haha!
a few of these are a bitch to mix for me as well. basically all the jungle fashions (except Cutter) from that list usually don't turn out well for me... i think i have a tendency to not grab albums like that in general in the mix - which means i play them less - which means i don't mix them as naturally.
anyhow - sick tracklist. just about to take the drive home too... nice timing man!

Yyyyes yes, enjoyed that bruv. There are some tunes in here I aint heard for at least 12 years. That "champion a champion" tune was a blast from the past, woa! That was one of my favs back in the day, and of course Mr Fixit which is on that London Someting doc for a couple of bars.
Like gej says, you probably got plenty fuckin gems in that huge crate of yours you sly ole dog!
Nice underground selection here, definate Desert Storm ragga style a gwarn...
lol my crates arnt big just distilled...I'm not much of a record collector
most of it was bought at the time and I never stopped so I got a bit from every year since dot really...
I'm amazed at the selection of some of the new skool kids..Tunes I didnt know existed..Record buying wernt easy in 94.. I had to go back to unity 4 times befored they would even serve me...Thats some embarresing shit..Standing there like a muppet for half hour while they ignore you only to leave wid nuttin...jeez those were the dayz.

Yeah it was a bit like that in the legendary Lucky Spin Records on the Kings Road in Chelsea. It got bought by Movin Shadow after that and became Section 5, but I got bare attitude when I went there. It was down some stairs in the middle of an afro carribean clothes shop. Trust me, I got some funny looks walking down to get some fresh tunes or tapes. The whole place stank of ganja, they were probably just mad paranoid at young peeps turnin up.. lol
Blackmarket Recs is even a bit attitude now most of the time. If Nicky Blackmarket is working he's a stuck up tosser and ignores you usually. Ray Keith still works in there sometimes, he's pretty friendly. Loxy and Ink are the safest, they don't mind interacting with the customers, they are full of beans... they'll rewind a tune up in the shop if it drops nice enough! lol
Aye, record shops can be stressful places if you just wanna duck in and pick up some tunes... thank fuk for the internet!
Lucky spin hahaha oh my days... Got blanked there too..felt a right prat.. I never had no probs with blackmarket to be honest always found em pretty helpful.. Thank god for the internet..you can check that tune over and over without some fuck stressin you..
have either of you guys (or anyone) been into oldskoolvinylrus, used to be called mostwantedrecords. bizzy b seems to have some affiliation, though i'm not sure exactly what it is. interested to here what they're like in person

I've had some problems with the occasional order online with them: either damaged shipments or forgetting to pack records ordered in with the parcel... It's a crap-shoot that I sometimes take with them (usually due to cheap as hell tunes), but it's rare for me to do so.
I'd imagine going there in person would save you some of this frustration.

Dunno, never heard of that site. I checked it out though, it looks pretty good! They have that BizzyB/Equinox collab from way back in the day and loads of others. Should be pretty legit, and you can pay US Dollars, UK Pounds, or stinking Euros. lol
I'd say they'd probably post to New Zealand, send them an email?
There is another old school site that I know is good, as my friend ordered loads of old school UK garage off there which came in the post promptly and was undamaged
yeah, ive used the site 3 or 4 times "under new management" now, which means they still don't return your emails. though they do ship them fast. in fact i got my conformation email telling me the record was sent the same day it arrived.
have had HEAPS of problems with them, the main one being "we'll get back to you" and it doesn't happen, even after 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 emails. orders arrive with records missing. some records have a 15 quid shipping price if you put them in your cart etc etc.
i was just wondering if they are all staunch, i imagine if you go in ther with some cash you'll walk out with some good records, but i don't know for sure, hence the wondering.
finally got a chance to listen to the mix this morning & it was really enjoyable, especially when i'm feeling ragga less & less these days...thx again for this!
