how are you end users storing all these?
are you burning them to disc or dvd, keeping them on your hd, or just deleting?

yeah i have two 160 in raid 0 so its just under 300 actual gigs but like jungledon said its filling up. i went to try and back up on dvd all of my shit so i could reformat. I dont have a dual layer writer cause i built my pc like close to 3 years ago and its like 117 gigs. i got like ~12 dvd's into a 26 disc task and got an error and it scrapped the whole damn thing. twice. needless to say im seriously thinking about buying an external drive to finish the job and hold my music/multimedia.
maybe i can try storing about 70 gigs on my ipod then moving the rest to an old comp till i can reformat.....

I keep all my personal faves on my comp (either the main hd, or my external) all the rest are burned to cd, and I have 2 copies of everything on cd. One for listening and one for back-up kept in storage. That's why it takes me a while to dig shit out when I get a request sometimes

um, hard drives mainly. specifically one 250gb internal, then for externals a 160gb, a 250gb & a 300gb. then probly 1,000 or so data cds scattered everywhere. hard drive crashes are one of your worst enemies. get a dvd burner & back it up while you still can (something i need to do before i lose any more!) |
