In 2008 Chicagoans mourned the loss of Brian Blackeye, the city's first and primary hardcore-jungle MC. To initiate the preservation of his memory in 2009 and beyond, we present the final recording of the full C.H.A. lineup: JJ Jellybean, DJ Snuggles, and MC Blackeye. These previously unreleased tapes were submitted by Dubshack and are exclusive to GoldenEraJungle.com

Not bad intro, sounds quite clear. Then it gets a bit generic all of a sudden. It's not a tune that particularly stands out. It wouldn't be signed to a label imo, it doesn't stand out enough. Like the intro tho..
I gotta say I like the mellow parts of the track with the pads and the 808 bass.
Listening further to it, that old "waaaaarb" bassline comes in like a second drop.. suddenly it's really generic and superficial! Don't like that at all.
One thing it has going for it is that it's arranged reasonably well and the sounds are distinguishable from eachother.
I can't understand why someone would spend money pressing this up to be honest. It's okay for some parts, not bad at all. But then you got this sudden rush of stereotypical sounds and it ruins it. It sounds like a skit off the Ali G show in places.

Nah I love ragga/dub and the influence it had over jungle. Where did you get that idea?
But not that same sample CD that all these people keep using for the sake of it. 'Waaaaaarb!'
Oldschool sounds should be used in moderation otherwise tracks can sound like chopped sections really average old tunes stuck together, like this one does.
I prefer tracks by Double0, Aries, Nolige, Theory, Equinox, Breakage, etc
Compare this to tracks on that Equinox show and notice the difference. This aint terrible in any respect, just not really my thing compared to that stuff.
If you were Scientific Wax record label, and you played this track next to a Theory one, this would fail to get pressed
I'm all up for the revival of the real shit... just think peeps can do better.
This tune is too boring and generic if you ask me. I do quite like the intro and the bits in between that cheesy "waaaaarb" bassline tho.
