While most were bunny-hoppin' to some high pitched bassline bullshit in 97'-98', I made this tune. My take of Gangstarr's classic Speak Ya Clout, in a Jungle version. Dead Serious. Mash Up.

Too much of drum layering, man! The edits are not bad though..
Also, you should try to leave vocals drier, so they would be more recognisable.
Try to produce more and each new tune will be beter than previous - trust me!

Nice overall tune... I like the hip-hop flavas. Stream's right about the drum layering though. Little messy in parts. Stiil... Good work, especially from 98!

Bit of info.....this was some years before I went to school for audio engineering in 2002....plus I didn't mix the track....I programmed it but didn't mix it......I'll post a newer track in a while...just so you guys can eat your words....ha ha ha......this was just a quick taste, definitely not representative of my current work. My shit sounds tons of times better now. |

Cool man, I'll get some up soon....I went to Trebas Institute in Toronto.......definite worthwhile endeavour for all musicians......you gain a great understanding of the fundamentals....most audio engineering schools are basically similar so check out a local one to see what they offer....peace |
