Yeh Damion Drumz pointed him out to me, really feelin his stuff. Mad skills!
Here in the UK we've got the Jungle Drummer who is also insane, have a look on youtube.
I don't think KJ Sawka has been to the UK to play yet, if him and the Jungle Drummer hooked up and did a set that would be rinseout meltdown time...

KJ is nice on the hats especially. He does have a backing beat a lot of the time I noticed, and he plays over the top. I like the fact that he's using a sampler and triggering different sounds while he's playing.
Jungle Drummer is really really tite for hours at a time, and he also plays full amens and other jungle breaks. He doesn't really use a backing track but has a DJ or two there to loop intros to tunes that he drums over.
Both of them are heavy in their own way I think

it is a little weird thinking of him playing with a hammered dulcimer and a keyboardist, i know the hammered dulcimer who plays with him and he is a little on the hippie side and a bit older, but he is involved with some electronic acts around the west, could be ok, I guess I will have to wait and see them in action. |

Went to see this cat in Philly 3-4 weeks ago... It's nice to see. I'm assuming live jungle "bands" appear more frequently in the UK, as opposed to the US... So, it's a nice change of pace, and dude's definitely nasty. Not easy to slap out an Amen @ 180 bpm, so props to him,cuz from what I saw: dude's sick.
