He went crap by the late 90's though, with his crap tone scratching! Also he played Chopper, Badass and Valley of the Shadows in every damn set for years and years. i agree the early 90's hype was class then went well boring , i was listening to the last santuary event and he was doing excactly the same scratching as he was doing back in 96 >
Seems to of gotten a lot better lately tho |

Yes he was the man in the early 90s, basically every one wanted to scratch like him and sy in the days, yet he never really managed to progress, altho he has plenty of copy cats, ala dj marky, wonder who influenced his scratching? |

Dun know Raveyard, plenty of peeps want to get fame for tone scratching. It aint exactly Q-bert standard tho is it, lol.
Only the other day I was playing a club and the guys on after me were scratching... I cringed, especially as I'm a bit of a turntablist. lol beep beep beep! LOL! |

dont forget hype was repping in the european DMC champs back in the late 80s. check some of his early pirate shows with him mixing 808state and tribe called quest etc. guy was dark.
you should have seen the look on his face when he came to an event in bristol a few years back and saw that it had been billed as DJ Hype vs DJ Craze........ |
