Sox are in Oakland right now - always a tough series for us on the West coast. Thomas vs. Thome is some pretty impressive shit.
I can't believe the Padres the last 2 seasons... they do not belong in the playoffs.
as for NL MVP, i'd give it to Ryan Howard. Pujols has been hurt and this is only the beginning for Howard - seriously... he's like Griffey Jr. only stronger. can't count out Beltran though.
as far as the AL Central, who knows. 3 real good teams that are all "slumping" right now. the Tigers couldn't hit with an oar at the moment; Liriano is def. a problem for Minnesota. i think it's going to be whoever gets hot down the stretch (no shit?). if the Sox get on a roll, watch out.

i know i got no room 2 talk since the sox didnt make it 2 the playoff AT ALL!!!!! but damn whats up w/ da twins. hottest team in baseball and they couldnt even take 1 game. what a waste of a post season spot. oh well.
