Well, you know the old English breakfast is more common here - a plate full of bacon, fried eggs, sausages, mushrooms, baked beans, fried tomato, toast, accompanied by a coffee... when it's done right it rocks! (edit - especially with some hash browns thrown in there)
But of course, US breakfasts are the shit - maple syrup, bacon, pancakes or waffles, eggs benedict.. all amazing..
...but chocolate chips with sausage... naaah! lol

And I agree with Burnrate, gimme two eggs over easy, some toast, bacon, and those delicious hash browns that I get at Perkins (easily the best restaurant to get breakfast at, shame there's none in northern NJ).

It's just that the companies in this country know that people are stupid enough to buy ANYthing. Does anyone remember the Pontiac Aztec? Same thing. It's like 2 marketers were sitting around going "I bet someone will actually eat / drive / buy this shit!"
Maybe this is a Southern US thing? I think they eat a lot of different shit down there.
Anyway, I saw these things on The Daily Show last night. The British correspondent was awkwardly interviewing the U.N. ambassador from Qatar. He asked "Do you understand what's going to happen when Qatar is Americanized?" And then busted out the box of chocolate chip pancakes wrapped around a sausage and jammed onto a stick.

Those wacky SUV's are just annoying to the eye. I don't know how they could take a butt-ugly vehicle and make it even worse-looking, but they make the impossible possible.
Take Mercedes for example, they got a station wagon that looks like a friggin hearse. Who'd buy such a vehicle? Boggles the mind.
