We updated and reorganized the links section. Don't forget that these are only the best available resources for oldskool-hardcore-jungle-drum+bass --- a goldmine for diving into jungle history, culture, sounds, etc... many more to come - if we missed any, let us know!
2 of the major additions that need to be brought to attention:
*The Jungle Preserve*
http://www.thejunglepreserve.org/welcome/
Human? moved this project from the forums to its own home. A labor-of-love download site - not another careless mp3 orgy. Respect.
*London Pirates*
http://www.londonpirates.co.uk/Home.htm
This site has everything. Interviews, history, biographies, audio, imagery, forums... but this place is strictly focused on London's pirate radio stations since 1989! Lots to learn or reminisce about here
I also went thru the entire mix archive and did every possible tracklist ID that I could. I'll be keeping them up-to-date from now on, but there are still tons I can't ID. HELP ME OUT! Biggg respect to ethereal94 for his tracklist contributions... and everyone one else helping out in this case.
VINYL LABEL SCANS! I'm going to start another round of scanning records for the image archive. I know it's a big-time pain in the batty crease, but getting more than 1 person on the case would expand the archive exponentially. Contact me if you want to start helping.
There are all types of improvements, additions, updates, changes, etc. to GEJ on the way... too many to mention. Heads up!

Sounds great! Looking forward to seeing the updates.
As for the tune ID's I wouldn't mind helping out, is there any mix tapes in particular that we should start with?

Thanks Steve! No tapes in particular - just whatever anyone can help with is cool.
*EDITED*
On a personal note - i'd love to have someone get these done
(UK people - please help me with these despite your aversion to American jungle DJs!)
*Phantom 45 "Think Twice"; "The Jungle Book"
*Danny The Wildchild "Peep The Technique"; "The Jungle Book"
*Dr. Groo "Agent Orange"; "The Jungle Book"
(basically - the entire Jungle Book from Chicago)
*Snuggles "I'm Sugarfree"

For sure... it's not everyone. I can see it though with the UK people that do. I mean, if I were on a UK site looking for Gang Starr tunes and all I saw was unfamiliar English acts - i'd be the same way. |
