10 years later and the B-side is still holding strong as one of the best sides of a mixtape, ever. Defining the 95/96-era of Moving Shadow-style chill business, and including some sweet Aquasky, Ray Keith's cheesy "Ridge Racer" novelty remix, Jamiroquai & M-Beat, capped off with a little Marvin Gaye surprise... one of my favorite tapes of all time. Used to have it on the flip of a Mark Dinger house mix, was entitled Heads Or Tails.
If you like chill, atmospheric & jazzy D&B, this is pretty much the ultimate in my book.
As a side note, does anyone know the rougher tune that drops in at 27:03? It's got these lush chords, and I've wanted to know what it was for, well, since 10 years ago. |

p.s. thanks for listening and kudos. this mix was made so that house heads from the midwest would get more in tune with jungle/d&b, which was getting second room billing on shitty systems. the response i received from these house lovers, was overwhelming. s'why i did a b2b with mark, whose side was to push house to d&b heads. yeah, i said jazzy drum & bass/jungle, you deaf or something?
happy 10th, mix. |

i'm very honored that you soldiers dig this mix. i cannot ever top this mix i suppose.
as far as 'DOUBLE MARTINI,' radek (of nightlife collective/dustraxx) da cuntbag had the master DAT recording of the mix and claims that the united states post office had lost the package somewhere in transit. i didn't believe him and still don't.
that mix was balls to the wall power.
started with dj red's mad p.l.o. and ended with dawn penn's 'no,no,no.'
shit, i have a crappy cassette copy of it. too hissy to even copy. if anyone has a copy to bust out online or share, please hit me up.
