Okay, well I want to burn a set on to a cd, but the set is too long. So I was wondering if there was any way I can possibly cut it into two different parts. Side A and Side B if you will.
My buddy said to get Acid Pro, and edit it, but didn't explain it. So now I am jus as lost as I was before. So if someone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

you should be able to highlight a certain part and then cut out the highlighted. hit new and then paste that into the new one. save it as a new name and that should do it. you would need an editing program like your friend mentioned or sound forge or something. although i couldnt say if you would be able to do it with an mp3 or not but a wav file its np. sorry i cant be more helpful.

You can do it with Soundforge I know, and then you just need to search for a program that converts the wav to mp3. I'm sure someone will elaborate on this.

soundforge will convert it to mp3 just click save as...If you aint got the mpeg encoder just use cdex which is freeware from download.com...
when you say the set is too long do you mean file size or like over 80 minutes ..If you kneed to chop the file you can do it in acid with the chopper function under view . Either chop or highlight and save each part.. sound forge will do the same thing ..like the guy above seh..Highlight copy ,paste to new and save.

And if you happen to be on a mac.. use Audacity. Then iTunes to convert to mp3. Just make sure to change the rip bit rate to it's highest.
Good luck.
