As I lost touch with the scene for a few years (still bought the odd CD though) all this 'Double Drop' & 3 deck mixing seems to have lifted off.
I remember seeing Mickey Finn at Dreamscape in the late ninties dropping 'Warhead' and then stood round chatting for 3 or 4 minutes before mixing in the next track (not that anybody complained as its a wicked track ). Now DJs seem to be mixing in snippets of other tracks throughout the set which I assume keeps them fairly busy?
