Hi. I just registered a few days ago after my sisters friend turned me onto this site. Plenty of good things can and are said about this site. Awesome to listen to the tracks and sets from over a decade ago, brings back so many memories. Wow.

Anyway, I have 30-40 old jungle tapes ranging from 93-97. I would like to digitize them all and I have no problem sharing them at all. I have internationally recognized djs such as ltj bukem, andy c, dara, mastervibe, dj db and then local NYC djs.

I run OS X and have tried some music apps, but I am not too sure about what the best solution would be to digitize the tapes. Some are better quality than others, but all are worth the time and effort to digitize. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'll be uploading the sets here once they are done.

Thanks a ton for the help in advance.

I use cubase, just plug a line in and press record, then export as a .aiff file, drag it into itunes and convert to mp3. You could use any number of other audio editing programs, although garageband ain't much cop as it only lets you export 33 minutes at a time

Ok. I got an update. I have been playing around with garage band. I can record way past 45 minutes so that's cool. But the limited options that are currently in the program are bumming me out. Some tapes I received from the dj's themselves so those are much clearer than the copy of a copy of a copy, you get the idea.

If anyone has a program they can suggest, doesn't matter if it is for mac or windows. As long as the program has plugins I can use to clean up some of the tapes.

dj odi - new identity
dj odi - sport 97
dj odi - unknown
andy c - energy 96
dj zinc - one nation
dj kech - music of the ?
dj kech - unknown
lion - forever
dj fabio - assassins chapter 1
elements of noise - bassrush basement
dieselboy - 3 different sets....I dont' have the names
jungleboy - unknown (master copy)
jungleboy - unknown (copy of master)
mastervibe - unknown (it is not the same as the uploaded set)
double A & twist - unknown (montreal)

This is just the stuff that is lying on my desk waiting to be digitized. I need help peoples.
