After too many dead-lines and not enough time we finally arrive at Issue 32 - the last free issue from Atmosphere! So it is with great remorse that I announce that the first thing you must do when reading this issue is turn to page 8, all is explained.
I see it as a foregone conclusion that come bank holiday weekend most of you will either be enjoying how life's suupost to treat ya in other lands or in possession of a ticket for at least one of the feast of parties on offer. Be it World Dance's massive 6 arena jam at Lydd, or United Dance's biggest ever party in Stevenage. In London we have Roast and Kool Skool at SW1 & Power-house respectively and oop narth Rezerection are staging Event IV in Edinburgh all promising to be the tops!

Interview
dj zinc
WHEN DID YOU FIRST GET A TASTE FOR DJING?
I FIRST WANTED TO DJ IN 1988 WHEN I WAS 16 LISTENING TO CENTREFORCE RADIO. I USED TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO ALL THE TIME AND AFTER A COUPLE OF MONTHS STARTED GOING TO SOME OF THE RAVES. BEFORE THAT I WAS INTO MUSIC BUT NOT OBSESSED WITH IT. FROM 1984 - 1988 I WAS MORE INTO HIP HOP & SOUL. I USED TO GO TO PLACES LIKE MARSHGATE LANE AND TASCO'S AND AS I HAD ALWAYS BEEN INTO MUSIC I WAS INTERESTED IN DJING ON THE RADIO AND AT RAVES. DJ SWIFT AND I THEN GOT A PAIR OF DECKS WITH NO PITCH AND A MIXER WITH NO FADER AND TRIED TO MIX (NOT EASY). AFTER A YEAR OR SO WE GOT A PAIR OF SOUNDLAB DECKS WHICH HAD PITCH BUT WERE STILL NOT VERY GOOD SO AFTER ANOTHER YEAR WE GOT SOME TECHNICS.
Page 7
Interview
WHO WERE YOUR INSPIRATIONS DJ WISE BACK THEN?
I WAS FIRST INSPIRED BY THE DJS ON CENTREFORCE RADIO SUCH AS RANDALL. I THOUGHT THEY WERE ALL EXCELLENT DJS, THEN CAME FANTASY FM WITH DJ HYPE WHO I USED TO CHECK FOR BECAUSE OF THE SCRATCHING AND TRICKS. AT THE SAME TIME I USED TO HEAR PEOPLE LIKE JJ FROST AT TELEPATHY AND ALL OF THESE PEOPLE INSPIRED ME TO WORK HARD!
CAN YOU REMEMBER THE FIRST PLACE YOU PLAYED?
I GOT A SHOW ON IMPACT FM WITH DJ SWIFT IN 1991 AND TOTALLY ENJOYED DOING PIRATE RADIO. I STILL DO A SHOW ON ERUPTION FM ON SUNDAYS. THE FIRST BIG RAVE I PLAYED AT WAS AWAKENING AT TASCO WAREHOUSE, WHICH WAS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR LONDON VENUES AT THE TIME.
A LOT OF PEOPLE MAY HAVE SEEN YOUR BREAK TO HAVE BEEN WITH DESIRE FOR WHOM YOU STARTED WORKING IN 1993. DO YOU SEE THIS AS MAKING A BIG IMPRESSION UPON YOUR CAREER?
DEFINITELY. AN ORGANISATION LIKE 2000AD IS VERY SUCCESSFUL AND HIGHLY RESPECTED AND WHEN YOU ARE ON THEIR FLYER PEOPLE TAKE NOTICE. I'M SURE SOME OF THE DJ WORK I HAVE DONE IN THE PAST WAS DIRECTLY DUE TO BEING A 2000AD RESIDENT, AND I OWE PHIL AND MICK A LOT FOR INITIALLY BOOKING ME, AND MAKING ME A RESIDENT. I ALSO THINK THAT THE INNOVATION AND ELEVATION FLYERS ARE VERY INFLUENTIAL.
FOR THE FIRST FEW YEARS OF YOUR CAREER YOU PRODUCED AND DJED WITH DJ SWIFT AS SWIFT AND ZINC. CAN YOU TELL US HOW THE SPLIT CAME ABOUT?
DJ SWIFT (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH MANPI SWIFT OF KOOL FM) AND I DECIDED TO GO OUR OWN WAYS MUSICALLY IN EARLY 1995, BECAUSE SWIFT WAS GETTING MORE AND MORE INTO GARAGE AND HOUSE MUSIC AND DECIDED TO MAKE THE SWITCH. WE STILL SHARE A STUDIO ALTHOUGH I AM CURRENTLY SETTING UP MY OWN ONE. THERE WERE, AND ARE, NO HARD FEELINGS AND SWIFT IS DOING PRETTY WELL IN THAT SCENE.
HAVE YOU PLAYED ABROAD, IF SO WHERE?
SO FAR I HAVE PLAYED IN VARIOUS PLACES IN GERMANY MAINLY FRANKFURT (BIG UP HANNIBAL) AND IN PARIS. IN JULY I'M GOING TO GERMANY WITH DESIRE ON THE 27TH PLUS SWITZERLAND AND IN AUGUST I'M GOING TO CANADA. I ENJOY DJING ABROAD, SEEING HOW DIFFERENT CROWDS RESPOND TO DIFFERENT TYPES OF MUSIC ALTHOUGH IT CAN BE VERY TIRING - NOT THE JET SET BUSINESS YOU'D EXPECT!
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BEST MOMENT AS A DJ?
TWO TIMES SPRING TO MIND. THE FIRST WAS AT DESIRE AT THE ROLLER EXPRESS IN THE SUMMER OF '94. I HAD PLAYED THE WARM UP SET AND WAS ENJOYING THE REST OF THE EVENING AND AT 2 O'CLOCK MICKEY FINN DIDN'T TURN UP BECAUSE HIS CAR HAD BROKEN DOWN AND HE COULDN'T GET TO THE VENUE. JJ FROST WAS ON BUT HE HAD TO LEAVE SO PHIL TOLD ME TO COVER FOR MICKY. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD PLAYED TO SO MANY PEOPLE AT SUCH A GOOD TIME AND I WAS BUZZING. THE SECOND TIME WAS A FEW WEEKS AGO AT INNOVATION AT CAMDEN PALACE. THEY WERE BROADCASTING LIVE ON KISS FM 12-30AM, AND RANDALL WAS A FEW MINUTES LATE SO I HAD TO CARRY ON TILL HE GOT THERE. ONE MINUTE THERE'S A COUPLE OF THOUSAND PEOPLE LISTENING THE NEXT OVER A MILLION WHICH WAS QUITE A BUZZ!
WHEN DID YOU FIRST GET A TASTE FOR PRODUCTION?
THIS WAS AROUND 1991 WHEN BIZZY B SUGGESTED SWIFT AND I SHOULD COME INTO HIS STUDIO. THE OUTCOME BEING 'SWIFT & ZINC VOL 1'. WE WENT ON TO MAKE VOL 2 THEN BOUGHT OUR OWN EQUIPMENT AND CONTINUED UP TO VOL 8, BEFORE THIS I WANTED TO MAKE TUNES BUT DIDN'T REALLY HAVE A CLUE ABOUT IT.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST SOLO RELEASE?
MY FIRST SOLO RELEASE WAS "SUPER SHARP SHOOTER" ON GANJA RECORDS IN 1995. ALTHOUGH I DON'T CONSIDER THE TRACK ENTIRELY SOLO AS DJ HYPE WAS SO INFLUENTIAL. HE HELPED ME WITH THE ARRANGEMENT AND ELEMENTS OF THE TUNE AND HAS DONE THIS WITH ALL OF MY TRACKS SINCE.
DO YOU THINK YOUR OTHER MUSICAL TASTES INSPIRE YOUR
WHAT YOU PRODUCE?
I THINK I AM INSPIRED BY LOTS OF THINGS OTHER THAN DRUM N BASS SUCH AS HIP HOP, SOUL, REGGAE ETC. I LIKE NEARLY ALL KINDS OF MUSIC.
HAVE YOU EVER WORKED UNDER AND PSEUDONYMS, IF SO WHAT AND WHO FOR?
DOPE SKILLZ FOR FRONTLINE RECORDS. PURE FOR SUBURBAN BASE RECORDS AND POSSIBLY SOME OTHERS!
BEFORE CLASSICS LIKE "SUPER SHARP SHOOTER" AND "SIX MILLION WAYS" THE TRACKS YOU PRODUCED WITH EX PARTNER DJ SWIFT SEEMED TO BE ON A DIFFERENT TIP?
I DON'T THINK THE CHANGE WAS BECAUSE OF THE SPLIT. IT WAS BECAUSE AT THE SAME TIME I STARTED CHECKING HYPE WITH TUNES AND HE'D POINT OUT BITS THAT HE DIDN'T THINK WORKED VERY WELL. BEFORE THEN THE PEOPLE I'D PLAY STUFF TO WOULD SAY "YEAH, IT'S WICKED" BUT THEN NEVER PLAY IT OUT WHICH IS FRUSTRATING!
DO YOU THINK THE CROWD FRIENDLY STYLE OF MUSIC YOU ARE RENOWNED FOR HAS BOOSTED YOUR DJ CAREER?
YES, I THINK THAT PROMOTERS ARE MORE LIKELY TO BOOK A DJ IF THEY ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE PERSONS NAME, AND POPULAR TUNES PUSH A DJS NAME, AND IF YOU MAKE CROWD FRIENDLY TUNES, I GUESS THE PROMOTER THINKS YOU'LL PLAY THE SAME TYPE OF MUSIC.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT PA'S AND HAVE YOU DONE ANY?
I'VE NEVER DONE ANY PA'S BECAUSE I THINK IT'S UNFAIR TO TELL PUNTERS THAT THEY'RE GOING TO SEE A LIVE ACT AND THEN THE ARTIST STANDS BEHIND A KEYBOARD AND JUMPS AROUND. I THINK IT WOULD BE VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO RECREATE A TYPICAL DRUM & BASS TUNE LIVE.
AS A PRODUCER, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE LENGTH OF TIME CERTAIN TRACKS ARE ON DUB FOR?
SOME TRACKS STAY ON DUB TOO LONG. I CAN THINK OF AT LEAST ONE WHICH WAS ON DUB FOR A YEAR WHICH MUST BE VERY FRUSTRATING TO PEOPLE BUYING THE RECORDS, BUT IT IS NOT NECESSARILY THE PRODUCERS OR THE LABEL OWNERS FAULT, BECAUSE SOMETIMES PROCEDURES HAVE TO BE FOLLOWED BEFORE A TRACK GETS RELEASED. OR THE LABEL HAS A FULL SCHEDULE ETC, BUT IN GENERAL I THINK THE LENGTH OF TIME MOST TUNES STAY ON DUB IS OK.
THERE WAS RECENTLY A NIGHT IN GERMANY CALLED "SUPER SHARP SHOOTERS", HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS?
"SUPER SHARP SHOOTERS" IS THE NAME OF A REGULAR EVENT HELD IN BERLIN, WHERE I DJED WITH MC RAGE EARLIER THIS YEAR. WHEN THE PROMOTER SHOWED ME THE FLYER I THOUGHT THEY CALLED IT S.S.S. FOR THE ONE OCCASION BUT IT TURNED OUT THAT IT IS THE RAVES NAME. I WAS REALLY SHOCKED - BIG UP STEPHAN!!
ON THE SAME TIP, THERE ARE RUMOURS THAT S.S.S. IS TO BE SIGNED BY A MAJOR RECORD LABEL, IS THIS TRUE?
POSSIBLY. ALTHOUGH NO DECISIONS HAVE BEEN MADE YET, BUT A FEW MAJOR LABELS HAVE BEEN SNIFFING ROUND PASCAL, HYPE AND ME!
WHAT LABELS HAVE YOU WORKED FOR TO DATE?
I HAVE WORKED FOR SUS, BRAIN, GANJA, FRONTLINE, SUB BASE, BACK 2 BASICS, CONGO NATTY, DROPPIN SCIENCE, 2000AD. I AM CURRENTLY WORKING WITH HYPE AND PASCAL SETTING UP THE TRUE PLAYA'Z LABEL AND INTEND TO SPEND A LOT OF TIME DEALING WITH THE RUNNING OF IT.
WHAT DJS PROMOTE YOUR TUNES ON DUB?
THERE'S NO STRICT AGENDA WITH DUBS. ME + HYPE CUT STUFF FIRST THEN HYPE DEALS WITH IT FROM THERE ON. BUT PEOPLE USUALLY INCLUDE ANDY C, RANDALL, KENNY KEN, MICKY FINN, ELLIS DEE, BRYAN G ETC DEPENDING ON WHO'S INTO THE TUNE.
LAST WORDS: THANKS & RESPECT TO PHIL & MICK @ 2000AD, DJ HYPE, PASCAL, FUNKY & CO @ EHM, CAROLINE @ UNIQUE ARTISTS, BIZZY B & CREW, MAD B + STEVE B. ALL DJS WHO PLAY MY TUNES, ALL PROMOTERS WHO BOOK ME, ALL ERUPTION FM CREW, ALL PIRATE DJS - PEACE.

KOOL SKOOL - SUNDAY 28TH JUNE - POWERHOUSE
CLUBS PART 1
The CLUB ZONE
We arrived at the Powerhouse at 1:00am after an hour journey in the car. We were soon inside and the security were safe and the search was quite stringent.
For those of you who haven't been to the Powerhouse before, the club is separated into two rooms. As you come up the stairs on the left hand side is the Champagne bar and on the right is the Main room, and the capacity of this club is quite large. We went straight into the main room to catch the last 10 minutes of Footloose's set. At his side was MC Skibadee who was getting the crowd hype. The room was packed to the brim already, and the whole place was jumpin. Next up was Ron & SL (Back to Back) who both smashed it tune after tune. Towards the end of the set the great MC 5ive 0 stepped up rinsing out lyrics and getting the crowd lively. By now I knew that I was in for a wicked night.
Brockie stepped up next joined by Det, 5ive 0 and Navigator, the place just exploded and everyone was cheering for rewinds. Brockie dropped a dark selection with a lot of dubplates being played through the set, I would say this was the best set of the night. The DJ knew exactly what the crowd wanted and the MC's were just coming with a wicked lyrical style.
After this I went to the bar where I got some drinks and was surprised at the prices which were reasonable. One thing I liked about this club was that it had good ventilation which is good because at too many places it's just too hot! The last DJ's of the night were Mampi Swift and Bryan G with yet another hard selection of tunes. Skibadee came back in to the joy of the crowd and the atmosphere was wicked.
We had a wicked night, the only downer was leaving at 4:30 when it finished because it was a top night. Maximum respect to Kool Skool for putting on a truly awesome night, see you at the next one. Big up to all the Hijack FM crew, Stevie Rude Boy C, and all Southend massive.

BLUE NOTE THE SUNDAY SESSIONS - 070496
This was our first visit to the Blue Note, the club we had been waiting to check out since it first started having Drum & Bass sessions there on Sunday nights and with all the well deserved hype that Grooverider has been giving it on Kiss lately, we just had to get ourselves down there.
We arrived in Hoxton Sq at about 8:30 and from the outside you could mistake the club for an ordinary house, if it wasn't foe the large queue of people in the street outside.
The venue has loads of character, upstairs is a large bar, where there's room to chill out, top munch, soft lighting and the music is at 'talking level'. Downstairs however is dark, hot, rammed and the system beams out the heavy b lines with ease.
Apologies, but we didn't catch the DJs name who was playing when we got in there, we only caught his last few records by maximum amount of respect anyway.
As I mentioned before the place was totally rammed, the atmosphere was electric as everyone showed their appreciation to the DJs who passionately gave the crowd what they wanted - hard, hard music.
Grooveriders tunes blew everyone away as he played to his usual high standards. The crowd loved it, no-one was standing still. Kemistry & Storm finished the evening with sets of equal excellence, both dropping more ruff styles and proving with ease that they are the best female DJs on the circuit.
All the DJ complemented each other, each inspired by the last. MC (Sorry I missed your name too) also deserves the upmost respect for listening to, understanding and respecting the music and not just wanting to hear the sound of his own voice, something many MCs can't seem to grasp. The security deserve a mention as they are friendly and fair, especially G - big up... The vibe in this club is amazing and the only bad thing I could possibly say about it is that it ends too early, 12am. We have been back a few times since this one and if you haven't checked it out yet, get down there. Your Sunday's will never be the same again.

PIER PRESSURE - HASTINGS PIER
CLUBS PART 2
The CLUB ZONE
Pier Pressure has been going for a while now on every friday bar dates that Dangerous have booked. We arrived at the Pier at about 11:00pm after a quick search we got in the club and were greeted by a booming crisp sound system, having not been to this venue before we had a look around.
The DJ box was high up so you could see them in the mix. The dancefloor was a good size with a bar across the back and stairs either side where there was a nice size chill out with tables and chairs to relax in.
At this point Andy C just about to start his set which turned out to be a typical set from him with clean mixing and a wicked selection. After Andy C came the DJ Chef who we have never heard of before who played an alright set ranging from old and new tunes. Next up was the man DJ Randall - Oh gosh, once again he just smashed it to the max.
MC's on the night we Rage and Skibadee who were rolling out lyrics and keeping the crowd jumping. All in all a wicked night out but could have been a bit more rammed.
Review by (Matt and Jay AKA Henri & Lloyd).
LABYRINTH - SATURDAY 13TH JULY - DALSTON
After hearing the sad story of what the owners of club labyrinth had gone through over the past couple of years it was necessary for us to go and visit the club where we had started raving 4 years ago.
After a short train journey from southend we entered Dalston and started the long walk from the tube station to the club, once we got in there we were told by the friendly security that we could have got the bus for a mere 50p which is advised as dalston is not one of the friendliest places we have come across.
Standing outside the club we could already hear the mad atmosphere which the club is renowned for and within a couple of seconds and a quick search we were in, once inside the bubbling atmosphere and the heat hits you straight away and to be quite honest we really did not know where to go first as there were so many different directions we could head off in, after only 5 minutes of roaming round the club we were able to understand why the club was called labyrinth, you only had to wink and all friends would have dissapeared as it was so easy to get lost.
Our first port of call was the jungle room which is situated downstairs in the basement, the time being 11pm and the room was already reaching the rafters with dj krome dropping some hard tunes to the labyrinth massive. the jungle room was set out in an original style with the arena separated into 2 rooms. the dj was placed behind a plastic window in the dj box and the mc was using a radio mic which allowed him to move about the ravers which seemed to stir up a better atmosphere.
In the hardcore room the arena was multi levelled. At the top was the dj box, on the next level was a large dance platform which was always full with mad ravers allnight, on the bottom level was the large dancefloor which was rammed at all times. it seemed ravers would find anywhere to dance as they were sitting on ledges halfway up the walls and waving the hands frantically in the air to the sounds of the 4 beat masters.
Upstairs in the attic was the house and garage room which was not full to capacity but there were enough people up there having a great time. the best part of the club from our point of view was the garden which was outside and was full of benches for the exhausted ravers to sit on and was basically set out like any beer garden in a pub.
Never before have i come across a large number of happy go lucky people. we mET a number of people who told us that they had been going there ever week for the last 6 or 7 years which goes to prove that club labyrinth is no way a 5 minute wonder to say the least. there seemed to be a large number of older people there and we even met someone who had gone down with this mates and his mum which goes to prove that the labyrinth experience is one for all ages. all the dj's that we heard on the night played exceptionally dj vibes who was accompanied by mc live lee and also nikki blackmarket. for the first time we heard mc fusion who i'm sure will be a name to look out for in the future in the hardcore scene. Overall it was an excellent night and it was good to relive the vibe of the undisputed no 1 hardcore club. thanks wendy and keith for looking after us. Review by (Neil and Al).

HELTER SKELTER - SAT JUNE 1ST - SANCTUARY / ROLLERS - MILTON KEYNES
CLUBS PART 1
The CLUB ZONE
We arrived at 8:30pm. As per usual we were greeted by a very large queue which went around the Sanctuary and Rollers, this queue was expected as for the very first time Helter Skelter were using the Rollers Warehouse. There was a feeling of unexpectancy in the queue as few knew what they had in store for them except for a wicked night. My search personally was the most stringent I had ever had in my life but my friend Shaun breezed through. Once inside we really did not know where to go as neither arenas were open so we checked out the number of different rides which were in the outside complex. We then met our mates Terry and Alan who told us that they only queued for a short time. Also outside there was a cinema tent set up showing films, cartoons and trippy graphics all night and there were a number of Sony Playstations. Finally the doors opened and hundreds of anxious ravers stormed in to the arenas like herds of buffalo's.
We decided to check out the rollers warehouse first where Druid was playing. The stage set up was very basic but the DJ stand was placed at the front of the stage which was an excellent idea as at most raves nowadays it is very hard to even see the DJ, and also it improves the atmosphere if you are in reaching distance of the DJ. The lighting rig was spot on with a number of large lazers beaming across the warehouse plus backdrops dotted around. Druid played a slower set than usual which was sensible as the rave had only just started. We now decided to check out the Sanctuary Warehouse where Mixmatt was playing a number of crowd pleasers to get the massive moving. The production was the best that I've seen in a long time. The stage was on the left hand side of the arena which took up the whole wall. Suspended from the ceiling in the centre of the arena there was a large circular metal lighting structure with lots of lights on it and from it 4 massive tubes branched down to each corner of the arena with lights flickering up and down the tubes. Upstairs in the technodrome the set up was the same as usual but there was a lot more backdrops than usual which caught the eye. The time was now only 10pm and the Technodrome was getting extremely full with DJ Demand pumpin out some hard tunes. We now rushed into the Rollers As Mickey Finn was due on. When we got there all the Jungle massive was there and when DJ Dance finished his last tune the place started to bubble until unexpectedly the MC introduced DJ Hixxy which did not go down too well, but 15 minutes late Mickey Finn arrived and when he dropped his tune he practically blew the roof off as the atmosphere was so electric.
He followed on to play my best set of the night playing a good selection of jump up and hardstep even though his set was only half an hour long. Now Hixxy went on and playing a rollin set and dropped the "Toy Town" remix for the first time. Upstairs DJ Madness was playing some fierce Gabba which was followed on by Loftgroover who played his own original style of Techno. Downstairs the atmosphere was buzzing as Slippmatt stopped up with MC Charley B, Dougal followed on to play a good set with Magika and Stixman. Next up was Grooverider who totally rinsed it. The best set of the night in the Sanctuary was DJ Hype who was accompanied by the lyrical maestro MC GQ, like at the last Helter Skelter they totally smashed it playing a number of new tunes while still playing a selection of Hype's personal anthems. In both arenas the stage dancers kept dancing hard all night and showed enthusiasm which kept the crowd moving. All the MC's in the Sanctuary performed well especially MC MC who seems to be on the mic at nearly every rave now. The penultimate DJ in the Rollers was Seduction who played a good set to a rammed warehouse. The last DJ of the night was Kenny Ken who planned his set well. In all 3 arenas all night I did not see one bit of attitude and the security were excellent and always at hand if you needed any help. Overall I was impressed by all the DJ's and MC's in the Rollers warehouse and the most outstanding performance of the night was by MC Freestyle who lived up to his name all night and kept the vibe alive.
This was an excellent rave overall and everything which was on the flyer was actually there which was nice to see. If you missed this event not to worry as Helter Skelter are holding a very simular event called 'Energy' on the 10th August. Big up Terry and Alan for keeping us informed. Review by (Neil and Shaun).

UNITED DANCE - FRIDAY 7TH JUNE - STEVENAGE ARTS & LEISURE CENTRE
CLUBS PART 4
The CLUB ZONE
After the continued success of United Dance's we once again went back to the notorious Stevenage Arts & Leisure centre for another night of pure madness. We arrived at the venue at 10:30 and we were quickly shuffled in by polite security and a quick search, once inside the venue for nearly full. We were able to catch the last few tunes from DJ Randall who was accompanied by MC Fearless.
The venue was set out in it's usual style with the main stage on the right hand side wall when you walk in and the main dance platform was situated on the left hand side. The stage show like usual was very original with a massive rocket on the centre of the stage which was based around the Thunderbirds series. The dance platform was set out in the usual C shape but at each end there were square metal frames that had a number of different lights flashing in all directions. The main lazer was very good and there was also a 3D lazer system which made graphics and words hover above the exited raver's all night.
Hanging from the ceiling there were a number of inflatables and also a number of backdrops which always caught the imagination. Over to the second arena which was also reaching it's capacity, Jimmy Jay was dropping a good selection of 4 Beat. The sound system was spot on and it was also at the perfect sound level. The line up in the second arena was excellent and showed a number of names that would otherwise have been playing in the main arena. Next was Andy C who played a ruff set like usual to the now rammed arena. Andy was followed by Roni Size and MC Dynamite who showed why they are fast becoming a duo to be reckoned with.
We now rushed to the main arena to hear an excellent set from Dougal who was accompanied by MC Sharkey who totally lost the plot like usual with his controversial lyrics. Hype followed on to play a set which included a lot of dub plates including his new tune called "Blue Flowers" which will be a big tune in the near future. Outside the chill out was set up in it's usual style by thinking of the raver first by laying the floor with carpet, supplying an ample amount of toilets and hosting two snack bars where there was food and drink all night long.
At 2am Vibes started what turned out to be a a good set accompanied by special guest MC Live Lee and in turn DJ Sy followed in a good fashion. The last 2 sets of the night for me were the best. At 4 the number 1 Jungle DJ Mickey Finn played one of the best sets that I have heard in a long time dropping anthems left, right and centre and dropping his own original style of Jungle at the same time. Afterwards DJ Slipmatt played a blinding set with nearly all of the MC's getting on the Mic within 45 minutes. In the second arena all the DJ's kept the crowd moving especially Force & Styles, it was nice to see them play a later set in the night as at most raves they play so early so most ravers don't get to hear them.
All the MC's in both arenas kept the massive on their toes and did their part to keep the atmosphere electric all night long which really has to be seen to be believed. As per usual this event was better than the last and it is really now becoming hard to see where the rave can go from now. Like at all UD events, everything on the superbly designed flyer was there for, which I give massive respect to the promoter. On the flyer they stated United in dance which was exactly the theme for the night as all 4 types of music were brought together rather than being separated.
Big up Shaun, Tel, Al, Dave, Mandy and John. Review by (Neil).

ONE NATION / FUSION / GISM - SAT 25TH MAY - WEMBLEY (CLUBS PART 5)
The CLUB ZONE
We arrived at Wembley conference centre at 22:00 leaving behind us a queue which stretched from the doors of the conference centre, right the way back as far as the second twin tower of the Wembley stadium. After a routine stringent search, we first went in search of the One nation arena. The sheer size of thise place was amazing with all three arenas of a fair size with the One Nation looking to be the biggest. This arena had excellent production with mad inflateables and an urban ghetto theme including an american police car on the stage which even had the flashing blue light, which later went up in flames as part of the mighty exhibition. On the decks and warming up things neatly was the mighty JJ Frost who was rolling them out nicely and setting the standard well. At this point I decided to go and checkout the 'Fusion' arena. All I can say is that this arena was most definitely runnin. Billy 'Daniel' Bunter absolutely ripped it up with some real stompin anthems. After he finished his set, he then picked up the mic and hyped the crowd like I've never seen a DJ do before. It was now time to go back and see what was happening in the One Nation arena. Just touching down on the wheels of steel was Dr S Gachet who played a wicked alternative set which included 2 classics in the making, his own "Remember the Roller" and Andy C's "Roll On". Next up was a 'God Send'. It was none other than Ray Keith. This man certainly knows what the crowd wants to hear. The first tune, Shy FX's mix of "Copter" got an instant 'wheel'. The second and third tunes too had to be 'wheeled' instantly as the crowd went wild. The fourth, fifth and sixth tunes would all have been wheeled, but I think he realised that he would never end his set at this rate. Fearless was now 'Master of Ceremony', and thank god for that! This set was the highest point of the night, and to be honest this set eclipsed every other. After this was PA time. Marvellous Cain standing over what looked like a keyboard (but you never can tell nowadays) bopping his head while the DAT machine rolled, and the rest of the "Runninz" crew threw, rather dangerously, "Runninz" merchandise into the crowd. Next up, was Kenny Ken who started off things with one wicked and sinister sounding dubplate. His set can only be described as different. Some thought it was 'not all that' while others thought it was 'tearin'. Marvellous Cain played the next set, then it was PA time again. 'The Dream Team', and it was now Pugwash's time to pretend he was a plainist over a rolling DAT tape. After this, it was back 2 back time. Hype & Brockie, accompanied by MC Det, who by the crowds reaction is a very popular fella. Randall & Andy C were up after and by this time it may have been the fourth or fifth time that I had heard, "31 seconds" rmx, "Woo Hah", "Junglist" rmx and the "Chopper" rmx. By this time MC's Flux and Stevie Hyper D had arrived and were doing well in keeping the vibe, and at this point it was obvious that the main reason that a lot of people had come, was because it was the place to be that night. By 5am people were starting to leave but despite this it was still packed. Despite being in the 'One Nation' arena for the majority of the night, I made some frequent visits to the 'Fusion' arena, Dougal, Sy, Ramos, Marc Smith and Slipmatt were all absolutely fantastic. Just before the last set it was time for the Shy FX PA. He performed some of his new tunes. The last set was played by Mickey Finn & Darren Jay, with MC GQ. Darren Jay was probably the better of the 2. Stevie Hyper D assisted GQ, and tried his level best to squeeze any last hint of vibes from the crowd with regular calls of "Junglists, are you ready?", to which he received a massive 'Booowl' on every occasion.
I only popped into the Gism arena once or twice but the crowd were bubbling and production looked cool, the system didn't sound double loud but it was still alright.
A definite absentee was MC 5ive O who I think may have still been 'Stateside' representin!
Shouts: Shaun, Fiddler, Michael and Jockey D. Review by (Tex).

WILD CHILD
Name: Emma. Age: 24. Lives: London, NW8
WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE YOU GOT INTO THE MUSIC?
AT COLLEGE STUDYING CIVIL ENGINEERING (KINGSTON), PARTYING AND ATHLETICS TRAINING.
WHEN DID YOU FIRST GET THE INSPIRATION FOR DJING?
FROM THE AGE OF 15 WHEN INTO HIP HOP.
WHO DID YOU SEE AS AN INSPIRATION BACK THEN?
EASY E (RIP). NO ONE INSPIRED ME IN JUNGLE REALLY IT WAS JUST THE MUSIC, THE ATMOSPHERE AND THE RAVERS.
CAN YOU REMEMBER THE FIRST PLACE YOU PLAYED?
SPIRIT OF THE JUNGLE, OXFORD STREET - BIG UP ASH-A-TACK
HOW DID YOU FIND THE RISE UP THE LADDER SINCE THEN?
THROUGH HARD WORK. VERY ENJOYABLE THOUGH.
HOW DID YOU FIRST GET INVOLVED WITH KOOL FM?
I SENT THEM A TAPE ABOUT 1st YEARS AGO, THEY LIKED IT AND I WAS THEN GIVEN A SHOW.
HOW INFLUENTIAL WAS THIS IN YOUR CAREER?
IT GAVE ME THE EXPERIENCE AND CONFIDENCE TO GO FURTHER. BIG UP ALL KOOL FM MASSIVE.
DID YOU WORK ON ANY RADIO'S BEFORE THIS?
CHILLIN' FM, I DID ABOUT 3 SHOWS BEFORE THE STATION GOT CLOSED DOWN.
HAVE YOU EVER WORKED ABROAD?
NO, BUT I HAVE PLANS TO LATER IN THE YEAR.
YOUR SEEN TO BE WORKING WITH MC SKIBADEE A LOT, IS HE YOUR MC?
HE MC'S FOR ME ON KOOL FM, AND WE LIKE TO WORK TOGETHER WHEN PLAYING OUT.
WHAT OTHER MCS DO YOU RATE?
FEARLESS, BIJ, DET, SHY-D, STEVIE HYPER, NAVIGATOR - THE LIST IS ENDLESS.
WHO DO YOU THINK PUT ON THE BEST EVENTS?
DESIRE, ONE NATION, JUNGLE FEVER, TELEPATHY, HEAT, WORLD DANCE, ROAST AND THUNDER & JOY.
WHAT EVENTS DO YOU LIKE PLAYING AT?
ANY EVENTS WITH A GOOD ATMOSPHERE AND GOOD SOUND SYSTEM.
HAVE YOU EVER MADE ANY TUNES?
NO, BUT I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF ONE RIGHT NOW, WATCH FOR THAT (ABOUT 2 MONTHS).
WHAT PRODUCERS DO YOU THINK ARE DOING IT AT THE MOMENT?
HYPE, SHY FX, PUGWASH, PASCAL, MARVELLOUS CAIN, DILLINJA, ED RUSH, SS, ORIGIN UNKNOWN, SMOKEY JOE, RONI SIZE & KRUST, DIE, DA INTALEX, BUKEM & PROTEK - IS THAT ENOUGH.
WHAT DJS DO YOU RATE AT THE MOMENT?
ALL DJ'S THAT ARE TRUE TO THE MUSIC, THE SCENE AND THEMSELVES.
HOW DO YOU FEEL THE SCENE IS AT THE MOMENT?
MUSIC IS BRILLIANT HOWEVER THERE ARE MINORITIES CAUSING TROUBLE AT RAVES WHICH IS GIVING THE SCENE A BAD NAME AND TURING PEOPLE AWAY. A BIT MORE THOUGHT NEEDS TO GO INTO THE RAVES IE. BETTER SOUND SYSTEMS AND PROPER SECURITY (NO BULLSHIT). AS DESIRE CLAIMS, WE NEED TO BE "PUTTING THE FUN BACK INTO RAVING".
SHOUTS TO MY FAMILY AND ALL MY CREW'S (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE). ALL THE PROMOTERS WHO HAVE BOOKED ME AND ALL WHO ARE GOING TO BOOK ME! PEACE, LATER.

Interview
ANDY C INTERVIEW PART ONE
THE TIME IS 6:30 ON A WINDY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. AFTER COUNTLESS PHONE CALLS, STRESS AND NAIL BITING, I'VE FINALLY MANAGED TO SECURE AN HOUR OR SO OF ANDY'S TIME. SO, ARMED WITH A SONY DICTAPHONE, CIGARETTES AND THE STATE-SIDE CONNECTION LION, WE EMBARK ON THE PLEASANT JOURNEY TO HORNCHURCH STATION. AFTER WAITING FOR 5 MINUTES OR SO WE ARE GREETED BY A TIRED BUT EAGER ANDY C.....
IT WAS MID '93 WHEN WE FIRST DID AN ARTICLE ON DJ ANDY C, AGED 20 FROM ESSEX. "VALLEY OF THE SHADOWS" (AKA 31 SECONDS - LONG DARK TUNNEL) WAS JUST ABOUT TO BE RELEASED. ORIGIN UNKNOWN, ALIAS ANDY & ANT MILES, THE CREATORS OF THIS TUNE, THOUGHT OF IT AS MORE OF A PERSONAL PROJECT AT THE TIME AND DIDN'T EXPECT IT TO TAKE OFF THE WAY IT DID. HOWEVER, 3 YEARS ON AND TWO REMIXES LATER IT'S PRETTY SAFE TO SAY THAT THIS WAS A BIT OF A MISCALCULATION.
THE YEAR IS NOW 1992 AND WITH HIS NEW LABEL RAM RECORDS AND A SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIP WITH ANT MILES, THE CATALOGUE SOON GREW, TO RESULT WITH THEM BEING FIRMLY ESTABLISHED IN THE PRODUCTION WORLD.
ASIDE FROM THIS, ANDY HAD ALREADY EARNED A RESIDENCY AT TELEPATHY AS WELL AS HIS REGULAR SLOTS FOR ELEVATION AND THE LIKE, FAST ESTABLISHING HIS STYLE.
ANDY'S FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH THE MUSIC WAS AROUND SEVEN YEARS AGO, LISTENING TO PIRATES SUCH AS CENTREFORCE AND SUNRISE, WHICH LED ON TO HIM INVESTING IN DECKS AND A MIXER, WHICH PROGRESSED ON TO WEEKLY SLOTS ON CYNDICUT FM ALONGSIDE RED ONE, DAZ, EMBEE, MATT, AND JUST JONES.
ANT, WHO AT THE TIME LIVED LOCALLY, FIRST STUMBLED ACROSS ANDY PROGRAMMING BEATS AND SOON DISCOVERED THAT THEY HAD A MUTUAL INTEREST IN THE NEW STYLE OF UNDERGROUND MUSIC THAT WAS EMERGING, IMMEDIATELY JOINING FORCES, THEIR FIRST 12" "TURN ON" WAS EVENTUALLY RELEASED IN 1991. THE TUNES THEY WENT ON TO CREATE OVER THE NEXT 2 YEARS RESULTED WITH THE ELEVATION 1993 AWARD FOR BEST HARDCORE TUNE, AS WELL AS BEST DJ NEWCOMER. WHICH SHOWED THE PUBLIC WERE BEHIND THEM. WHEN ASKED ABOUT HOW HARD A DJ'S LIFE REALLY
Page 37
Interview
IS, HE REPLIED "YOU'VE GOT TO BE PREPARED TO SLEEP AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE AND 24/7 YOU GOTTA BE ON IT. LAST FRIDAY I WENT TO GERMANY WITH BRYAN G, ZINC AND GQ. STRAIGHT FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE CLUB AT 11PM, PLAYED 4 TILL 6, THEN WENT BACK TO THE HOTEL FOR A FEW HOURS SLEEP, BACK TO THE AIRPORT. CAME HOME AND THEN BACK ON THE ROAD TO MILTON KEYNES, ENDING UP AT CLUB UN 7 O'CLOCK SUNDAY MORNING... SO I THINK THAT ANSWERS YOUR QUESTION !"
WITH ANDY BEING ONE OF THE FEW DJS THAT HAS REALLY BROKEN THROUGH, I ASKED HIM IF HE THOUGHT THERE WERE ENOUGH OPENINGS FOR UP AND COMING DJS...
"THERE MUST BE PLENTY OF WICKED DJ'S OUT THERE WHO AREN'T GETTING THE OPPORTUNITIES THEY DESERVE. MAYBE IF PROMOTERS GAVE A LITTLE MORE SPACE FOR NEW TALENT, THEN WE'D SEE A LOT MORE NEW DJ'S BREAKING THROUGH."
ON THE SUBJECT OF FAVOURITE PLACES TO PLAY... "ANY PLACE WHERE THE SOUND SYSTEM IS RIGHT AND THE CROWD ARE UP FOR IT. LIKE TELEPATHY, INNOVATION, DESIRE, JUNGLE FEVER, HASTINGS PIER, DREAMSCAPE, AS WELL AS OVERSEAS VENUES SUCH AS CLUB HYPNOTIC - GERMANY, THE REX CLUB - PARIS, AND SYROUS IN CANADA. THERE ARE TOO MANY GOOD EVENTS TO MENTION...
THE VOODOO MAGIC EVENTS AT EQUINOX LAST YEAR WERE TEARIN' AND CANADA WAS LIKE WORLD DANCE WITH 5000 PEOPLE GOING FOR IT, IN A MASSIVE FILM WAREHOUSE."
AS THE SCENE GETS WIDER SPREAD, DJ'S FROM THE UK ARE FINDING THEMSELVES IN COUNTRIES ALL OVER THE WORLD, LAST YEAR ANDY WENT TO JAPAN WITH MOVIN' SHADOW... "IT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST TIMES THEY HAD BEEN EXPOSED TO THE MUSIC AND THEY WERE DEFINITELY GETTING THE VIBE."
GERMANY GETS VISITED ON A REGULAR BASIS AND HE IS CURRENTLY PREPARING FOR WASHINGTON IN AUGUST.
IN REGARD TO TUNES STAYING ON DUBPLATE FOR TOO LONG, ANDY EXPLAINS THAT SOMETIMES IT CANNOT BE AVOIDED. THE PROCESS OF GOING FROM DUB PLATE CHECKING THE MIX, MASTERING, PROCESSING AND ACTUAL PRESSING ONTO VINYL CAN TAKE ANYTHING UP TO 3 MONTHS OR MORE.
I ASKED ANDY IF HE FELT THE SCENE WAS SPLITTING UP.
"FROM MY POINT OF VIEW, I DON'T REGARD THE SCENE AS SPLITTING, JUST THAT DIFFERENT STYLES ARE EMERGING. YOU CAN'T EXPECT ARTISTS TO STICK WITH ONE STYLE FOREVER. THEY NEED TO EXPLORE THEIR POTENTIAL...
TO BE CONTINUED.......

Interview
creative source
THE LABEL IS RUN BY MYSELF FABIO AND SARAH AT GROOVE CONNECTION, FROM THE GROOVE CONNECTION OFFICE, WITH HELP FROM KATIE AND IT WAS STARTED IN OCTOBER OF 1995.
WHAT WAS THE INITIAL INSPIRATION TO START THE LABEL ? THIS WAS JUST TO HAVE AN OUTLET FOR DEEPER MUSIC.
WHAT OTHER INVOLVEMENT DO YOU HAVE IN THE MUSIC SCENE ? OTHER INVOLVEMENT INCLUDES GROOVE CONNECTION AGENCY FOR DJ'S CREATING LINE UP'S, UP AND DOWN THE COUNTRY & ACROSS THE WORLD. WE HAVE CLOSE LINKS WITH KISS ON WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY NIGHT SLOTS AND THE NEW "IN THE JUNGLE" SLOTS ON RADIO 1. WE ARE ALSO LINKED WITH THE CLUB NIGHT SPEED, AND WRITE REVIEWS IN VARIOUS MAGS.
THE MUSIC WE RELEASE HAS TO BE OF A HIGH QUALITY, ON BOTH PRODUCTION AND DIRECTION. THE ARTISTS WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING WITH INC: CARLITO, BIG BUD, INTENSE, SUBJECT 13, PRIMARY MOTIVE, HIDDEN AGENDA, Q PROJECT & SPINBACK, WITH SOME SECRETS IN THE PIPELINE.
WE ARE ALWAYS SCOUTING FOR NEW TALENT AND WE ARE OPEN FOR NEW IDEAS.
WITH FABIO BEING THE DJ FOR THE LABEL AS IT WERE, WHAT OTHER PROMOTIONAL GIMMICKS DO YOU HAVE ? WE'RE NOT VERY GIMMICKY BY NATURE, OUR MAIN PROMOTION IS TO LET THE MUSIC DO THE TALKING.
HOW DO YOU FEEL THE SCENE IS PROGRESSING MUSICALLY AT THE MOMENT ? IN OUR OPINION THE MUSIC JUST KEEPS ON GETTING BETTER AS THE ARTISTS MOVE WITH TECHNOLOGY, BRINGING IN DIFFERENT FLAVOURS AND ELEMENTS.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE BEST RELEASE FOR SALES OR RECOGNITION ? THERE IS NO 'BEST' RELEASE, WE REGARD THE RELEASES EQUALLY, AND WITHOUT A RECENT UPDATE FROM OUR DISTRIBUTOR, WE'RE NOT SURE WHICH IS THE BEST SELLER.
ANY PLANS FOR AN ALBUM ? ONCE WE'VE BUILT OUR PROFILE A BIT MORE, AND RELEASED A FEW MORE TRACKS, AN ALBUM IS SURE TO FOLLOW.
WHAT GOALS DO YOU HAVE FOR THE LABEL ? JUST TO KEEP TRUE TO FORM, PUSHING MUSICAL ELEMENTS TO THE LIMIT, AND KEEP SEEKING ORIGINALITY.
WHAT OTHER LABELS DO YOU RATE & WHY ? THESE INCLUDE PROTO TYPE, GOOD LOOKING, METALHEADZ, CREATIVE WAX, MOVING SHADOW, ALL FOR INDIVIDUALITY.
THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF TALK ABOUT THE SO CALLED "INTELLIGENT" SCENE SPLITTING AWAY FROM THE REST OF THE MUSIC, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS ? THAT'S FUCKING CRAP. IT'S ONLY THE PRESS WHO HAVE NO UNDERSTANDING OF THE NATURE OF THE RAVE SCENE TALK ABOUT SHIT LIKE THAT, IN OUR OPINION ITS JUST A NATURAL PROGRESSION OF BREAKBEATS AND MELODIES AND WE'VE NEVER REFERRED TO IT AS INTELLIGENT. THE NAME INTELLIGENT SOUNDS HIGHLY "UNINTELLIGENT". AT THE END OF THE DAY WE'RE ALL IN THIS THING TOGETHER.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE LABEL IN 96 ? TO KEEP OUR RELEASE SCHEDULE TO PLAN, TO HAVE AT LEAST 15 RELEASES BY THE END OF THE YEAR, THEN TO START WORK ON OUR ARTIST PROFILES. "GRAPEVINE" AND "DIFFUSION ROOM" SHOULD BE OUT BY THE TIME YOU READ THIS, AND RELEASES 6 & 7 ARE CURRENTLY ON PROMO AND DUE FOR RELEASE IN LATE AUG/SEPT.
THANK TO ALL THE SOLDIERS. GROOVE-RIDER, GOLDIE, LTJ BUKEM, ALL CREATIVE SOURCE ARTISTS, PESHAY, DJ SHAFFIE, DOC SCOTT, DJ LEE, JACK FROST AND ALL THE GROOVE CONNECTION DJ'S.
Page 41
Interview
WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE THE MUSIC CAME ALONG ? I have always been involved in the music one way or another whether it was Hip Hop 80's. House / Hiphouse early 90's or Breakbeat / Hardcore / Jungle. I have progressed with the music. I have been DJing for 7th years since 1989 and making music 4 years this summer.
TO WHAT EXTENT DO THESE TASTES INFLUENCE WHAT YOU PRODUCE ? I like to use sometimes a Soulful vibe in my tunes in the breakdowns and I search hard for my Soul riffs / samples, the same goes for Hip Hop.
WHAT IS THE GENERAL VIBE YOU LIKE TO GO FOR ? It just comes from within. Sometimes I know exactly what sort of tune I want to do and it kinda works out. Other times I build a whole track around a sample. eg Films (I love my films!) I prefer to keep on doing what I'm doing but changing with the times and progressing.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST RELEASE ? Little Rollers 3 on Flex by Sappo & ST Files.
WHAT DJ'S PROMOTE YOUR RELEASES ON DUBPLATE ? Mickey Finn, Kenny Ken, Randall, Andy C, Hype, Youngbead, L Double, Manpi Swift.
HOW DO YOU FEEL THE SCENE IS PROGRESSING MUSICALLY AT THE MOMENT ? It's progressing definitely but it's also splitting up as it goes along which can be both good and bad, but as things are looking Jungle in all it's forms is here to stay.
WHAT HAVE YOU GOT COMING ? Systematic (Sappo mix), Simon Sayz (Rinse), Chuck e (Remix).
WHAT OTHER LABELS DO YOU RATE AND WHY ? Everyone always back out of this question and says "Too many to mention" but I'm going to answer it: Reinforced, Flex, V / Philly / Dragon, Ram, Ganja, Dread, Frontline, TOV, Joker and Formation. Because they are all fighting hard for the cause and strictly believe in what they are doing and because they keep the shit real..!
WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE YOUR DJING FURTHER ? I would definitely like to take it further and I am going to. DJing has been a major part of my life and it plays a major part in my production of music. My style of production is the same as my DJing, I like it Rolling..!
BEING FROM DOP NARTH, HOW DO YOU FIND THE SCENE UP THERE ? This is a very good question, where do I start? All we have got is a place called The Lighthouse where I am resident which is on twice per month apart from that there is nothing else. People are too scared to put on Jungle nights but this is only due to hearsay from other people. If you ask me there is too many politics involved and I don't like politics. I tend not to get wrapped up in that shit. On a commercial / advertising side of the scene we are quite alright as we have numerous pirate radio stations fighting the cause and these help the community and everyone else surrounding it tremendously. Drum & Bass / Mellow wise that's doing OK but it's turning too trendy for my liking.
ARE THERE ANY PLANS FOR YOUR OWN LABEL IN THE FUTURE ? Definitely. I am in the process of starting up my own label from where I work 'The Spin Inn' in Manchester. It wont just be my own stuff but I will start it rolling with some Sappo bits just to get it off the ground. The Name will be Prohibition and you can expect a release in about 1 months time.
WHO ARE THE ARTISTS DOING IT FOR YOU NOW ? ST Files, L Double, Nookie, ALL Reinforced cru, Roni Size, Hype, Andy C, Ray Keith, Bizzy B & Pugwash, Smokey Joe, Shy FX, DJ Ole, Darkman, Potential Bad Boy, SS, Dillinja.
WHO ARE THE DJS DOING IT FOR YOU ? Mickey Finn, Bryan G, Roni Size, Hype, Andy C, L Double, JJ Frost, Grooverider, Brockie, Manpi Swift.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE ? My plans are to travel around the world DJing promoting my own and other peoples music. To keep on doing what I do and to become a foundation in the music I believe in. Also to have an album, a label and a nice house.
SHOUTS: All my family, my sister Danielle for giving me the strength to carry on through bad times. Sarge @ Spin Inn, DJ Direkt, L Double, Lisa, Dynamite, Jay Prescott, JB, ST Files, XTC, Mercus, Bud, Spin Doctor, Diamond, Trigger, MC Lenny + anyone else I missed out.

Since 1989 Helter Skelter have been continuing to set standards in the Dance Music Scene. We have continued to produce All Night Dance Parties with the highest order of production quality and a vast array of the U.K.'s very best Artists, D.J.'s, and M.C.'s. Over the last three years we have taken our ever-expanding faithful family of thrill seeking followers on numerous mesmerising and memorable epic journeys, through a series of stunning state of the art designer warehouse parties that have become legendary - July 95 - Best of Both Worlds, October 95 - Keepin' The Fire Burning, December 95 - Zoom, March 96 - The Voyage and most recently, rated by many as the best party of the year - June 96, The Discovery. Now for Summer 1996, comes your opportunity to witness a new dawn in Dance, on Saturday 10th August 1996 Helter Skelter will be hosting a totally party occasion with a difference and plan to take the entire indoor Dance Party concept soaring onwards, upwards and beyond, way beyond your imagination. We will be linking up the Sanctuary Warehouse and the Rollers Warehouse with a massive outdoor entertainment complex which will be completely transformed into an awe-inspiring outdoor dance dream world, which will then in turn be packed full of all the attractions and surprises which will surpass all your expectations of an Helter Skelter event of this slice. The pioneering combination of the warehouse party theme and the dance festival set up and atmosphere will make this event the biggest and most incredible indoor and semi-outdoor show ever staged at the Prestigious Denbigh Leisure Complex to date. Five massive Party Zones will dedicate themselves individually to the various types of Entertainment and Dance Music which influence our Scene today for a musical marathon attended by thousands of like minded party people, gathering from all corners of the Dance Music Civilisation and joining in on the celebrations of a Scene which has progressed from the roots in our past, to today's mass following and is progressing beyond into the future.
